HourTraderz ("HourTraderz," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by Upskillible Inc. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the HourTraderz mobile app, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using HourTraderz, you agree to this policy.

The short version
HourTraderz helps neighbors trade skills and services — no money changes hands. To do that, we collect the information needed to create your profile, match you with nearby traders, and keep the community safe. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites. Your precise location is used only to match you with people nearby — it is never shown to other users.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details — your email address, display name, username, and date of birth (used to confirm you're 18 or older) when you create an account (or sign in with Apple or Google).
- Profile information — the bio, skills you offer, services you want, and other details you add to your profile.
- Showcase photos — the photos you upload to your profile (typically 3–5).
- Messages and trade proposals — the content you send to other users in chat and the trades you propose.
- Influencer verification (optional) — if you choose to verify as a creator, you tell us your platform (Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube) and handle, and you upload a screenshot of your account analytics showing your follower count. Our team reviews it manually. We never ask for your social-media password and we do not connect to or log in to your social accounts.
Information we collect automatically
- Location — with your permission, we collect your device's precise location (latitude and longitude) to match you with traders within your chosen radius and to confirm you're in a launch area. Your exact location is used on our servers only and is never displayed to other users.
- Purchase information — when you subscribe to Plus or Pro or buy Hour Bucks, our payments partner records your subscription status and purchase tokens.
- Device and notification identifiers — a push-notification token so we can send you alerts, and device identifiers used to operate the app.
- Diagnostics and analytics — crash reports and product-usage events that help us fix bugs and improve the app. These are not linked to your identity, we do not send personal information in crash reports, and we do not record your screen or replay your sessions.
How we use your information
- Create and manage your account.
- Match you with nearby traders and power the swipe, match, chat, and trade-proposal features.
- Verify influencer status (only if you opt in).
- Process Plus/Pro subscriptions and Hour Bucks purchases.
- Send you notifications about matches, messages, and activity.
- Keep the community safe — review reports, enforce our Terms, and prevent abuse.
- Diagnose crashes and improve the product.
We rely on these uses to provide the service you asked for, to keep it safe, and to comply with the law.
Who we share information with
We share information only with the service providers that help us run HourTraderz, and only the minimum needed. We do not sell your personal information.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the safety of our users, or as part of a business transfer (such as a merger or acquisition).
Location data
Location is central to how HourTraderz works, so we want to be clear:
- We use your precise location to find traders near you and to confirm you're within a current launch area.
- Your precise location is processed on our servers and is never shown to other users.
- You can turn off location permission in your device settings at any time, but matching will not work without it.
Your choices and rights
- Access and correction — you can view and edit your profile information in the app at any time.
- Account deletion — you can delete your account from within the app (Settings → Delete Account). Your account is first soft-deleted for 30 days — you can sign back in during that window to restore it. After 30 days it is permanently purged, including your profile, photos, matches, messages, swipes, Hour Bucks ledger, influencer verification, and push tokens. Any Hour Bucks balance is forfeited.
- Notifications — you can turn off push notifications in your device settings.
- Location — you can revoke location permission in your device settings.

Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, it is first soft-deleted for 30 days — you can sign back in during that window to restore it. After 30 days, your personal data is permanently purged, and any Hour Bucks balance is forfeited. Some information may remain in backups or be retained where required by law.
Children
HourTraderz is for adults only. You must be 18 or older to use the app. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used HourTraderz, contact us at matthew.fanning10@gmail.com and we will remove the account.
Security
We use industry-standard measures — including encryption in transit and per-user access controls — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe and to limit who can access it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
